The Gate does not have a flat top, can I still use the cantilever system? |
Yes; we sell already-assembled guides for flat top gates but we also have a nylon rollers in various styles and provide assistance via telephone to help you create an adequate support system for your particular situation. |
How do I determine how long my gate must be? |
The main part of your gate is what essentially extends to cover the "gap." The "run-off" is the portion that covers the space between the two carriages. If you can calculate a roughly estimated weight for the gate and know the desired gap, use our specification tables to determine the carriage space. Keep in mind that the carriage spaces provided are measured carriage center to carriage center and you will need to add approximately the length of 1 1/2 carriages. Add this to the traditional "gap" space and you have gate length. |
I have an opening larger than 33' and I cannot determine carriage space. |
All three carriage models are capable of handling larger openings and weights than listed in the spec tables, but they do have limits. Carriage spaces past the listed limits can be determined through mathematical calculations. Please contact our office at (718) 324-6871 and ask to speak with Joe Pietrocola for assistance. |
